Personalise your LG KG800
Matthew Haigh
Make your phone your own
Personalise your LG KG800 by changing your wallpaper, screensaver and font colour via your display options
Whilst the default display scheme looks pleasant enough, you may well want to make it more your own – perhaps by changing the wallpaper, or adding your own message to the standby display. This can be achieved by accessing the Settings (Figure 1), from the settings menu select Display (Figure 2), then you will be taken to the Display menu (Figures 3 & 4) (shortcut menu 9,2,1). The options here are
- Wallpaper. This allows you to chose a picture from your images folder that will be shown on the standby screen. An alternative way of changing the wallpaper is to go to the photo album (shortcut menu 6, 5), and browse for the photo you want. Then press the options softkey, and choose “Set as Wallpaper” (Figure 5).
- Menu colour fairly obviously changes the colour of your phone’s menus (Figure 6)
- Standby Text allows you to put your own message into the standby screen of your phone – such as your name
- Backlight. This changes how long the backlight remains on after a keypress
- Brightness. Reducing the brightness will save battery life, but may make it difficult to read the screen in daylight.
- Network Name allows you to remove your network operator’s name from the standby screen
- Home Screen Shortcut puts a small navigation menu in the middle of your standby screen
- Dial font colour makes each digit that you enter when entering a phone number be a different colour (Figure 7)
