Get personal

Personalise the sounds on your LG KG800 and make your phone your own!

How the Chocolate sounds can be personalised using the Profiles menu, to access this from the Main Menu go to Settings (Figure 1), tab left to access your Profiles (Figure 2). Five default profiles are set up for you.

  • Vibrate only – useful when you want to feel your phone ringing but not disturb anyone else
  • Silent – for total silence
  • General – for normal use
  • Loud – for outdoors or when you are in a noisy room
  • Headset – for use with a handsfree

Selecting one of these allows you to activate it, personalise it, or rename it. To personalise your profiles go to Loud (Figure 3) and press select. Personalising gives the following options (Figure 4)

  • Alert type. This can be combinations of ringing and vibrating or none
  • Ring Tone. These can include MP3 files if you have them stored in your Music directory
  • Ring Volume
  • Message Alert type. Again, this can include tones and vibrating
  • Message Tone is the sound to play when a message is received
  • Keypad Tone lets you choose a sound to play when a key is pressed
  • Keypad Volume is how loud that sound should be
  • Slide Tone lets you choose a sound to be played when the slide opens
  • Effect volume is the volume of various sound effects such as the slide tone
  • Power on/off volume is the volume to play the startup/shutdown music
  • Autoanswer (only for handsfree) lets you choose to have the phone automatically answer incoming calls after a time that you specify
