Using Email on the LG Chocolate

Matthew Haigh

Send and receive emails with attached documents, photos and sounds from your LG KG800

Email is accessed from the Messages menu, under the Mailbox entry (shortcut menu 5,3).

Here you’ll find a list of the mailboxes on your phone; the remote POP3 mailboxes that you set up when configuring email, drafts (messages you’ve started to write but not yet sent), the outbox and sent messages.

Going in to the inbox, you can press the Retrieve softkey to tell the Chocolate to go and download your emails. You have to do this whenever you want to check your emails, it won’t automatically download them regularly for you.

To write a new email, go to the Messages menu (Figure 1), New message (Figure 2), email (Figure 3) (shortcut menu 5, 1, 3). You’ll see a set of text input boxes, where you can enter the email addresses of the people you want to send the mail to (Figure 4). When you OK these, you are prompted for a subject line (Figure 5), after which you can type in the message.

Whilst typing in your email, you can attach photos or sounds from your phone using the Insert menu. The Options menu lets you send the message, change the recipients, or save it into your drafts folder (Figure 6).

I seem to be missing "Write email message" on my New Message mail option. Any idea how to get that option on my phone?
