"There is a slight danger that the KF700 may be one of those phones that may slip beneath the radar because it doesn't quite have the design razzle-dazzle of certain other slimline ultra- sleek touch-screens; like LG's forthcoming KF750 Secret phone for example. However, that would be a major injustice, because this is a star-quality phone and further proof that, after taking a few years to find its feet, LG is now firmly established as a major player in the mobile market."

“The LG KF700 is definitely not the most exciting touchscreen handset out there, but it does work. Being able to use the keypad or touchscreen is useful -- neither is the epitome of greatness, though. In a market packed with better-featured touchscreen phones, the KF700 will struggle. If you're not bothered about owning a super phone, then it's worth a look.”

“he KF700 offers the best of both worlds: a large touchscreen and a slide-out conventional keypad. Combine this with an excellent specification (3 megapixel camera with autofocus, MP3 player, FM radio, plenty of memory, Bluetooth & 3G) and you have one of the best mid-range 3G phones currently available. Not as good as the LG Viewty, but still highly recommended.”

“Following on from the success of the top-of-the-range touchscreen Viewty, LG has come out with another cracking handset here. The KF700 combines a touchscreen (with a T9 keypad) and a jog wheel to make operation seamless...If you're looking for something that's slick to use and looks the part, the KF700 should come high on your wish list.”

“OK, it’s not the iPhone, and there is no Wi-Fi or smartphone operating system that you might desire of a touchscreen operated phone. But LG has pitched the KF700 as more of an attractive mid-tier 3G phone with touch control. It may not be a do-everything mobile, but its key multimedia features work well, and are integrated practically with the phone’s variety of input methods.”

“The KF700, therefore, is something of a odd ball. Like the KF600, it potentially offers a lot, but falls short on so many fronts. Ok, if you are mostly interested in text and the music player functions, then you might get on with the KF700. If you are going to be making lots of call, then be prepared for lots of haptic ear action.”

“Wi-Fi could have lifted this phone from being a good touch-screened handset to one that was very good, as the screen size lends itself to mobile web browsing. However, the camera could have been better, the Shortcut Dial has more potential than has been implemented, and in comparison to Apple's benchmark-setting iPhone the touchscreen is a bit sluggish.”

“The KF700 isn’t a do-it-all top-end touchscreen smartphone. Rather it’s a mobile with a good spread of mid-range features, including an admirable camera, music player and browser, that are implemented through a rather user-friendly touchscreen interface. The phone's touchscreen and slider combo give it a more solid feel than most mid-range phones, although some users may appreciate the text-tapping comfort of a regular numberpad. If you’re keen to check into the touchscreen club at the mid-tier rather than top-end level, this is a good performer.”
