Using the Favourites Hot key can cut down on the time and menu fiddling needed to get to features you want
Set up the Favourites Hot key list on your LG KF300 to get all the functions you want immediately to hand - we show you how

The LG KF300 is designed to be more user-friendly than the average handset, and among the features that make it easier to use is the row of four Hot key buttons sitting directly below the phone's main display
These enable users to get to certain functions quickly and easily; one press and you're straight into that particular feature. The four keys are for Alarms, Schedule, Image Gallery and Favourites.
The Favourites option allows you to compose a list of features you want quick access to, reflecting how you personally use the handset. You can scroll down your Favourites list to select the feature you want, then press to open (or, as an even quicker alternative, simply press on the phone's numberpad the number next to the option you require).
Once set up, using the Favourites Hot key can cut down on the time and menu fiddling needed to get to features you want.
Out of the box, the Favourites list may be pre-loaded with one or more options, but we show you how you can personalise your Favourites list so it's exactly how you like it - making the phone functions even quicker and easier to use.
Here's how to do it...
(Note, for each of the menu selection options described below, instead of scrolling to highlight them before pressing OK, you can select them quicker by pressing on the numberpad the appropriate number next to the listed options.)
Customising the Favourites list
- When the phone's in standby, press the Favourites Hot key below the display. It's the one on the far right, marked with a star icon (Figure 1).
- A list of your current Favourites appears (Figure 2). It could have a few entries already pre-loaded or be mostly empty.
- To change an existing entry on the list (in this example, MP3 player), scroll to highlight the option you want to change and press Options. A list appears giving you several options, to change, remove or move items on the list. Scroll down to the Change option (Figure 3). Press OK.
- A list of feature and application options appears, any of which you can add to your Favourites list (Figure 4).
- Scroll down the list to highlight the feature or app you want to add to your favourites list (Figure 5). Press OK. A further list of more detailed options may appear, depending on the function you've selected. If so, highlight the sub-menu option you require in the same way as before and press OK (Figure 6).
- An onscreen message confirms that the change has been completed and you are returned to the changed Favourites list (Figure 7).
- To add a new entry to the favourites list, scroll down to an Empty slot (Figure 8). Press Add.
- You will be taken into a list of feature and application options (as above) (Figure 9). You can add any of these to your Favourites list.
- Scroll to highlight the option you want to add (Figure 10). Press OK. A further list of more detailed options may appear, depending on the function you've selected. If so, highlight the sub-menu option you require in the same way as before and press OK (Figure 11).
- An onscreen message confirms that the change has been completed and you are returned to the changed Favourites list (Figure 12).
By repeating the procedure for adding Favourites, you can fill up the Favourites list with exactly the selection of options that suits you (Figure 13). And if you want to alter them at any time, simply follow the procedure outlined above for changing existing entries.
