Re: How to set up Internet access on the LG KU990 Viewty ( problem! )Hi there,
This is a great site.
I bought this phone LG Viewty 990 here in United State and can't setup my internet access . And my AT&T (wireless provider) can do nothing. Telling me that this phone made in Europe and it’s not modified for US service. So i don’t know if it’s possible to do something. If anybody had the same problem please i'll be gratefully appreciate for solution.

How to set up Internet access on the LG KU990 Viewty
How to set up your LG KU990 Viewty's Internet settings so you can browse the web and use email
The LG LU990 is equipped with the latest 3G/HSDPA connectivity which allows you to browse the web and download email at broadband speeds of up to 3.6 Mbit/second. However to take advantage of this you will need to set up your Viewty so it can access the Internet via your mobile phone operator.
To do this you will first have to set up a new Access Point to log onto your mobile operator's 3G or HSDPA network. You will then select this Access Point from within the settings of the browser or email application. You won't be able to surf the web or use email until you have done both tasks.
Note: SIM cards from some operators will automatically upload your Internet settings onto your phone. Only follow these instructions if you cannot get Internet access.
- Unlock the Viewty and click on the shortcut icon with four dots at the bottom left of the screen
- Click on the Settings icon - it looks like a mechanical cog - in the vertical tab bar on the right of the screen
- In the Settings menu click on the Phone settings icon
- In the Phone settings menu click on Connectivity
- In the Connectivity menu click on Access points
- If your mobile operator's details are not listed click on the Add button
- Fill in the form as follows:
- Connection title - enter a name for the connection, eg '3 Internet'
- Bearer - Select UMTS
- For the rest of the fields check out our Internet access settings page and enter the correct info for your mobile operator
- Then click on the Save button
Setting up your web browser
- Unlock the Viewty and click on the shortcut icon with four dots at the bottom left of the screen
- Click on the Application settings icon - it looks like a folder with a clock on the front - in the vertical tab bar on the right of the screen
- Click on Browser
- Click on Settings
- Click on Profiles
- Select the profile for your mobile operator and click on the Activate button. You should now be able to browse the web
Note: some operators may customise the icons with their own brands, eg 'O2 Active' instead of 'Browser'. The instructions should still work.
