LG to release new devices at MWC 2013
LG has remained tight-lipped at CES revealing it will showcase its new products at MWC in February
LG will launch its new mobile devices at Mobile World Congress in February, revealing no new product information at CES 2013.
The company held a press conference at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas where previous rumours indicated it would showase a new mobile product line-up.
During an LG presentation about the company’s smartphone efforts it confirmed it would introduce new devices to the market at the annual event in Barcelona.
Not much is known about LG’s next generation of devices, although the Optimus G2 is expected to be the company’s new flagship.
Leaks suggest it may sport Qualcomm’s new S4 Snapdragon ‘Prime’ which can be clocked as high as 2.5GHz. It could also feature 4G connectivity and a 5.5-inch display.
We had hoped we’d see a glimpse of it at CES but it turns out we will be waiting until the end of next month.
It’s possible we’ll see new models in the company’s L-Series and perhaps another successor to the Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu 2 phablet line.
Rumours have also indicated LG might be working on a 7-inch tablet and a Samsung Galaxy Note 2-like phablet device (which may be the Optimus Vu 3 or something different entirely).
With the increasing size of the company’s flagship in-line with current trends it’s also possible that the Optimus Vu name might be used for a larger tablet device.
We’ll be in attendance at MWC 2013 so make sure to check back with us next month for coverage of LG’s new releases.
