6.1-inch Huawei phablet teased by executive

A Huawei employee has teased a 6.1-inch phablet to compete with Samsung's Galaxy Note 3

A Huawei executive has teased the Chinese manufacturer's 6.1-inch phablet, set to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The device is said to launch at CES in January and was demoed by Huawei employee Richard Yu and was spotted by Engadget.

Apparently, the device is the Huawei Ascend Mate which has been leaked before.

According to rumours, the Ascend Mate will feature a 6.1-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, and a 1.8GHz quad-core processor.

We've already heard about the Huawei Ascend D2 which will feature a 5-inch screen, but it seems the theme of Huawei's 2013 roadmap is big.
