How to use Windows Marketplace on the HTC HD2

We show you how to find, buy and install apps on your HTC HD2 using Windows Marketplace

Windows Marketplace is Microsoft's answer to the Apple App Store and is a op place to buy new apps from.

Like Apple's App Store, you can find, download and install applications from Windows Marketplace using the Windows Marketplace link on your HTC HD2.

Follow these instructions to find out how.

Installing Marketplace and setting up your account

  1. Select Start and then Marketplace. If your HTC HD2 asks you whether you want to add Marketplace to your phone, select Yes
  2. Tap the links to view the terms of use and privacy policy, and then select Accept.
  3. Select Menu - Sign in.
  4. Enter your Hotmail or Windows Live address and password
  5. Select Sign in

Finding and installing an app

  1. Open up the Marketplace app by selecting Start and the Marketplace
  2. Sign into Marketplace if prompted
  3. Browse through the categories and select an app that interests you
  4. Select Install if you wish to download and install the applications
  5. If prompted, follow the onscreen instructions to confirm installation and set up a payment method
  6. The app will be installed. If it doesn't open automatically, simple select Start from the homescreen and scroll down to find the app installed on your phone. Tap the icon to start it up

Removing an app from your phone

  1. Enter Windows Marketplace by selecting Start - Marketplace
  2. On the Marketplace Home screen, Select My applications - Remove an app
  3. Select the app you want to remove
  4. Tap Uninstall

Reinstalling an app

  1. Enter Windows Marketplace by selecting Start - Marketplace
  2. On the Marketplace Home screen, selectMy applications - Ready to install
  3. Select the app you want to reinstall.
  4. Select Install
