HTC M4 and HTC G2 leak online tipped for post-M7 launch
Specs for the HTC M4 and HTC G2 leak online, with rumours it will launch just after the M7 launch
Specs for the HTC M4 and HTC G2 have leaked online. Both are mid-to-low-tier handsets and will launch after the HTC M7, according to reports.
The leaked spec comes via the Unwired View, which claims the HTC M4 is a One S-like handset designed to slot in below the HTC M7. The G2, based on its very low-end specs, is a budget device aimed at emerging and pre-pay markets.
Specs for the HTC M4, are as follows: 1.2GHz S4 processor, 4.3-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 13GB of storage, 13-megapixel camera, and Android Jelly Bean at its core.
Here's the HTC G2's: 1GHz processor, a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, Android ICS, and a 5-megapixel camera. Expect this device to be priced very aggressively.
Coupled with the HTC M7, we could be looking at HTC’s early-2013 lineup in full here – three handsets pitched at varying price points: premium, mid-range, and budget. HTC has not commented on the leak and isn't likely to either until they get official.
Could we see them unveiled at MWC 2013? Perhaps, although the report’s source does not give any indication about the devices' launch and availability – just that they’ll be landing after the M7.
No picture was provided either.
Know Your Mobile will be reporting live from HTC’s London event on February 19, where we fully expect to see the HTC M7 launched. The device is expected to feature a FHD 1080p display, Qualcomm’s quad-core S4 Snapdragon Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.2, making it one of the company’s biggest launches to date.
