The HTC M7 will be arriving earlier than expected on February 19, according to rumours around the social universe

HTC plans to launch its newest flagship, the HTC M7, on February 19, almost a full week ahead of Mobile World Congress 2013 according to the latest Twitter rumours.

News of the early launch broke when user @flapic, tweeted the following: ‘[Exclusive: HTC M7 to be launched during a dedicated event on February 19, probably in London, not at #MWC13.’

Knowing how much is usually launched at MWC, we're not surprised HTC could be keen on getting the handset out ahead of time. In order to secure maximum exposure, HTC needs to ensure its flagship M7 announcement won't get lost in the noise of other launches.

An early launch means HTC’s new flagship gets a good five days of airtime before MWC 2013 kicks off, meaning consumer interest will no doubt flourish ahead of Samsung, Nokia and Sony's launches planned for the show.

@flapic says the event will most likely be held in London, however, it’s also possible that HTC could launch the device in the US.

Packing a 13-megapixel camera, a 4.7-inch display with a pixel density of 468ppi, and a quad-core 1.7GHz processor the M7 has the makings of being the biggest and best HTC handset seen to date.

We cannot wait to see this device get official. No doubt we’ll be hearing lots more about it in the coming weeks.
