More images of what is alleged to be the HTC M7 have appeared online showing the Sense 5 UI

Pictures have emerged online of what could be the forthcoming HTC M7 flagship smartphone sporting a new version of the company’s Sense UI.

An earlier leak alleged to be the M7 by Twitter source @evleaks was recently contested by renders appearing via PocketNow, said to be created by a source who claimed to have seen the device first-hand.

These latest photos, which come courtesy of Android Police, back-up the renders by showing what appears to be the same handset, but with all these leaks coming at once it’s not clear whether we’re dealing with fakes, multiple handsets or some combination of both these scenarios.

Regardless, this latest ‘M7’ is looking a little bland to us, particularly when compared to the stylish designs of HTC’s recent One range.

Rumours say the M7 will feature a 4.7-inch Full HD display with a 1920x1080 pixel resolution at 468 pixels-per-inch (ppi), a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor (1.7GHz), 32GB of onboard storage, a 2,300mAh battery and a 13-megapixel camera.

What’s very interesting about this new leak is this is the first time we’ve seen what appears to be the HTC Sense 5 UI and it’s dramatically different from its predecessors. We’re seeing a clean and minimalist setup with stylised white icons and a very cool looking font.

We expect to see more of the HTC M7, or whatever it ends up being called, at Mobile World Congress in late February.
