Nexus 7 docking station to start shipping this month?

Will Asus’ long-awaited Nexus 7 docking station finally start shipping this month?

An image of Asus’ Nexus 7 docking station has appeared online, leading to speculation that the accessory will launch later this month, perhaps in time for Christmas.

Said device recently got a spot on Asus’ Japanese website, according to Android Central, and is shown to feature a MicroUSB port, 3.5mm jack input, and not much else.

There’s no word on if or when this accessory will be coming to the UK, or how much it would cost here. But if Asus’ Japanese website is anything to go by, it’s listed as retailing at 3,480 Yen, then you can expect to be paying around £25, which isn’t too bad at all.

We’ve reached out to Asus for comment on this and any further details about whether or not we’ll be seeing this docking station in the UK in time for Christmas.

Asus has been selling Nexus 7 devices like hot cakes, so we’d expect the rollout of this docking station to be far and wide. A Japan-only release makes very little sense.
