Nvidia’s Tegra 4 takes on Google Nexus 10 [video]
Nvidia has been making some pretty big claims about its new Tegra 4 processor, specifically how fast it can load webpages. Here’s the proof…
Nvidia launched its Tegra 4 processor at CES 2013 and claims it is the world’s fastest mobile processor. The chipset doesn’t support on-die LTE radios like Qualcomm’s S4 setup but it certainly looks to be pretty fast elsewhere.
Android Central has shared a video online which it filmed live from Nvidia’s CES 2013 keynote, where president and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang demoes just how snappy the new mobile processor actually is.
In the video you’ll see an unnamed Tegra 4 tablet take on Google’s Nexus 10 slate, arguably the world’s most powerful tablet device. The Tegra 4 tablet loads webpages at breakneck speeds – we’re talking 27 pages in 25 seconds, here.
Nvidia did not confirm any hardware partners at launch, although there's like to be plenty of new handsets and tablets running Tegra 4 on market this year. How well Nvidia's new processor will compete with Qualcomm’s practically ubiquitous S4 Pro chipset in 2013, however, remains to be seen.
