Google Nexus 7 audio dock finally makes its video debut
The Google Nexus 7 audio dock flaunted online earlier this year has just made its unboxing video debut on YouTube
The Google Nexus 7 bears a number of mysterious gold dots along its side, as indeed do most Google Nexus devices of late including the Nexus 10 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. An unboxing video brought to our attention by Android Central has surfaced on YouTube, revealing a Nexus 7 audio dock and its handsome Asus branded box.
We knew the dock was headed to Japan, so it's little wonder that the video was indeed posted over there. The shooter, a certain Mr. Stringfellow purchased it from Yodobashi Akihabara a day before general release.
Clearly made of plastic, this Nexus 7 dock allows you to slot the 7-inch tablet into the dock in landscape orientation. Once docked, it packs a microUSB port for charging and a 3.5mm jack for audio output. The video is a little light on additional information or demonstration, so hopefully more information surrounding the dock - including a UK release will surface soon.
The Asus made Google Nexus 7 has been a hit throughout 2012 thanks to some truly killer specs and an affordable price. With the 8GB version costing as little as £159 through the Google Play Store, the dock would make for a perfect Christmas accessory to couple it with. The reality is though, this late in December, it's looking bleak for us Brits getting one soon. In the meantime, we can all enjoy Mr. Stringfellow's video below.
