Gameloft’s Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden revealed
Gameloft’s mystery iPhone adventure game, Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden, has been unveiled, along with a video trailer
After reaching 3,000 votes, Gameloft has revealed its ‘Zelda’-like game Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden and released a trailer.
What’s it about? In Gameloft’s own words, “Become Ayden, a young hero chosen by the god Uryah to save the kingdom of Lasgalen from the Apocalypse, and plunge into the most ambitious Action RPG ever released on iOS.”
Quite a bold claim, but if it can capture half of the brilliance of the original N64 Zelda games, iPhone and Android gamers will be in for a treat.
Based on the video, Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden is certainly shaping up well. The graphics and detail looks impressive and the animations beautifully fluid. Controls look simple enough, with a touch screen joystick on the left and two buttons on the right.
After visiting Gameloft’s London office today, we can confirm Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden will be coming to Android. The developer/publisher is trying to catch up with all of its iPhone Christmas releases ASAP and lessen the time frame between iOS and Android in the future.
