Eliminate Pro, a true multiplayer first-person shooter, has been released on the App Store, and it's free

App Store heavyweight ngmoco has finally released its much-anticipated first-person shooter Eliminate.
Long touted as the iPhone’s best hope for an FPS experience that really works on the platform, Eliminate is designed for multiplayer deathmatch fun, rather than featuring a traditional single-player campaign mode.
You can play against real-life friends over 3G or Wi-Fi, a big step forward when most games only allow Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi multiplayer – which basically means you have to be in the same house.
Eliminate drops you in a futuristic environment, armoured up to the eyeballs in an outfit that wouldn’t look out of place in console game Halo. Other than overpowered weapons, you can also collect power-ups such as jet packs, cloaking devices and shields.
The best part is that Eliminate is free to download, although ngmoco’s plans are reported to involve incorporating micro-transactions to make their money back, and perhaps a little extra, on this impressive-looking shooter.
