The latest contender for the iPhone racing crown has been released. Asphalt 5 from Gameloft is available for £3.99

Gameloft has released a new premium iPhone racing game, Asphalt 5.
Asphalt 5 is an arcade racer that takes a few tips from console racing series like Burnout and Need for Speed. However, it has carved its own niche on the mobile scene, having made its debut way back in 2005.
This tyre-burner is fully up-to-date though, with fantastic full 3D visuals up there with the best on the App Store. Just check out our video preview article if you need proof.
Asphalt 5 includes more than 30 different high-performance vehicles – real-life ones too – from manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati. There are eight different race types of offer too, so there’s more than just flat out racing to this game.
Asphalt 5 is available now for £3.99

Asphalt 5 looks fab, but it's got strong competition from Need for Speed and Real Racing
