Sony Ericsson puts web ahead with sleek Z770i
The Z770i is geared up for straightforward access to websites, RSS feeds and email
Sleek and stylish, Sony Ericsson's Z770i is optimised for web use, with 3G HSDPA technology and user-friendly online applications
A stylish 3G flip phone designed for easy web use has been introduced by Sony Ericsson as part of its new lineup for 2008. The Sony Ericsson Z770i is an HSDPA enabled clamshell mobile, offering high speed web connection, content downloads and streaming capabilities.
The Z770i is geared up for straightforward access to websites, RSS feeds and email, and uses a Magnetic Mouse Pointer controlled by the navigation D-pad, plus pan and zoom controls to navigate pages on the 2.2-inch internal display.
Google Maps for Mobile will come pre-installed, there's a weather update application pre-loaded and an onscreen RSS tile widget enables users to get fast access to RSS feeds. Sony Ericsson says the Z770i will have a simple email set-up wizard to enable hassle-free email for non-techy consumers.
Other features include a 2-megapixel camera, media player, FM radio, picture blogging facilities and stereo Bluetooth. The Z770i, which will be available in Vogue Red, Graphite Black and Exquisite Gold, will be released in the second quarter of 2008.
