LG has announced a UK release for its low-cost KS360 messager mobile that features a sliding Qwerty-keyboard and touchscreen dialling

LG is bringing to the UK this summer a low-cost messaging handset with a slide-out Qwerty keyboard - the KS360.

Aimed at younger mobile users who want to keep in touch with texts and picture messages or via instant messgaing and email, the KS360 has a large 2.4-inch display that can be used for touchscreen dialling, and which changes orientation automatically when the phone's Qwerty keyboard is slipped out of the side.

As well as message-tapping capabilities, the KS360 is enabled for users to visit their favourite social networking sites too, using the onboard web browser. The compact 16.8mm phone also features a 2 megapixel camera and supports MicroSD card memory expansion.

In addition, the KS360 has built in music and video player capabilities, and supports stereo Bluetooth. It has a GPRS/EDGE-powered browser onboard too.

The KS360 is being sold in several eye-catching colour combinations, including titanium and bright blue, white and soft pink, black and red, and black and silver.

The LG KS360 will initially be available on O2 and Orange pre-pay and contract deals from August, with prices still to be confirmed.
