Sony Ericsson will be releasing nine Android handsets in 2011 – including the Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro.
The news comes via several sources, including Tracy and Matt, and claims that Sony Ericsson is hitting the market hard in 2011 with nine Android handset releases.
Landing first is the PlayStation phone (AKA: The Xperia Play) on March 31. The Play will be pushed hard by Sony Ericsson and is reported to be the focal point of its biggest marketing campaigns to date.
Not much else is known about the other, as-yet-unannounced, Android handsets but we expect we’ll be hearing a lot more about them as soon as the Play is released.
Could 2011 be Sony Ericsson’s year? Quite possibly – although it does have a lot of ground to make up.
