Nokia has taken the wraps off its latest Enterprise series mobiles, the Qwerty-keyboard sporting E71 and the E66 sliderphone. Both devices are geared up to support a wide range of corporate and personal email solutions, including Microsoft Exchange, and mode-switching for home and work usage.

The two new Eseries models are equipped with the latest HSDPA high-speed 3G connectivity and have Wi-Fi onboard. VoIP internet-based calling is supported too on these Symbian S60 3.1 Edition smartphones. Integrated A-GPS technology and Nokia Maps software add satellite navigation and support for location-based services too.

Aimed primarily at corporate mobile users, Nokia's latest Eseries devices offer sophisticated office functionality. The E71 has a BlackBerry-style Qwerty keyboard and large 2.36-inch QVGA display for heavy email users, although both models have software for easy set up for and use of professional or personal email. Attachments are supported too, and there' a document viewer onboard for handling Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files.

As well as email, corporate users can also sync remotely calendar, contacts and to do lists with their server-based email solution. The devices also include integrated mobile VPN support for access to company intranets, plus there's remote device lock and wipe functionality embedded for IT department security management.

Like the recent Nokia E51, on the E66 and E71 Nokia has included dedicated keys for one button access to contacts, calendar and messaging. The phones support email accounts for over 1,000 ISPs worldwide, plus Gmail, Yahoo! mail and Hotmail, while corporate solutions such as Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email, System Seven and Visto Mobile are also supported.

Multimedia
As well as the corporate functionality, the two new Eseries devices have a full range of mobile entertainment features too, including video and music players, 3.2-megapixel cameras, high-speed downloading and streaming of content, and access to Nokia's Ovi suite of web-based services. The slim, slide action E66 also features an orientation sensor, that automatically switches the display between portrait to landscape mode to optimise viewing. Its sensor also allows users to silence the ringer for incoming calls simply by turning the phone face down.

Both the E71 and E66 are constructed with premium stainless steel materials. They come with 110MB of internal memory, with MicroSD card expansion up to 8GB. They're expected to go on sale in July, priced at around €350 (£280) SIM-free.
