Windows Phone 7 device shortages due to 'customer demand'.
Overwhelming demand is causing shortages of new Windows Phone 7 devices in the UK.

Overwhelming demand for handsets bearing Microsoft's new mobile OS, Windows Phone 7, has resulted in a shortage of devices for the UK market
Demand has been exceeding supply to the extent that Orange, the first service provider to launch with WP7, has been left in the unenviable position of not being able to honour pre-orders.
By way of apology the company has been handing out £20 vouchers to customers who were left disappointed.
Orange have subsequently announced that they are moving heaven and earth to try and get customers their devices in time, with one spokesman quoted as saying "we are working with our suppliers to meet customer demand as a number-one priority.".
So rest assured, Orange faithful. You may not have your bright, shiny new WP7 device now, but you will do soon..with any luck!
