Sony Ericsson has officially confirmed it will be releasing a Windows Phone 7 device but, at present, that’s all it is saying – so no name, no release date and no pricing
Sony Ericsson is doing a Windows Phone 7 device – it just won't say when

Sony Ericsson has confirmed that it is going to release a Windows Phone 7 but it hasn’t said when, what it will be called or how much it’ll cost.
News of the Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 punt shouldn’t really come as a surprise though, as the company publicly dumped Symbian this week confirming that it will no longer be using the failing OS for its smartphones.
Oded Ran, Micorsoft’s UK Windows Phone 7, told mymicrosite.com, that:
“Sony Ericsson is working on at least one Windows Phone 7 device.”
Windows Phone 7 will be officially announced in the UK on October 11 – so expect to see a plethora of handsets from HTC, Samsung, LG – possibly Toshiba, Asus and Dell – and now Sony Ericsson.
Has Microsoft finally got it right? We think it might have, based on our few hands-on sessions with the OS, and it seems to have the backing of all the major phone manufacturers, which is never a bad thing.
Looks like the market has found a replacement for Symbian.
