Samsung is bringing three new music-orientated mobiles to Europe this month, with the release of the SGH-i450, SGH-F330 and SGH-F210.

Heading up the new Samsung music phone lineup is the SGH-i450, a Symbian S60-powered smartphone that uses a 2-way slider mechanism (similar to the Nokia N95's) to enable regular mobile functionality using a keypad, and music player operation with a touch wheel navigation pad. The SGH-i450 is a 3G HSDPA enabled model, capable of data downloads at up to 3.6Mbps. It also features a 2.0-megapixel camera.

The Samsung SGH-i450's music playing credentials are boosted by a Bang & Olufsen-developed ICEpower amplifier and specially developed metallic speakers inside. The SGH-i450 has a new music player user interface and supports a range of file formats including MP3, AAc, AAC , eAAC , WMA and WMDRM. It has 35MB of internal memory plus MicroSD memory support for cards up to 4GB. The SGH-i450 will initially be released in Italy at the end of October and other countries after that. It will cost €360 (£250) for the handset without a contract subsidy.

Samsung's SGH-F330 is another 3G HSDPA-equipped music phone. This model is a dual-face slimline sliderphone, the follow up to Samsung's SGH-F300. It has dedicated music control keys on the front and side, and supports MicroSD cards up to 2GB, and can play miultiple audio file formats. The 13.5mm thin sliderphone also has a 2.0-megapixel camera onboard. It is available in Germany imminently, with a release in other European countries shortly, and will be priced around €260 (£170) for the handset only.

Already announced for a UK release, the Samsung SGH-F210 is a small swivel-open music phone that succeeds Samsung's novel SGH-X830. The SGH-F210 has an external scroll wheel interface to search for tunes and navigate the menus, with a small phone keypad rotating out from under the display. It has 1GB of internal storage plus support for MicroSD card expansion for up to 2GB cards. The F210 also has an FM radio and 2.0-megapixel camera onboard. Released first in Germany this month, it will cost around €280 (£185) SIM-free.
