T-Mobile USA releasing HTC HD2 next week

The range-topping HTC HD2 will be available on T-Mobile USA next week, on the 24th March.

Information about Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 Series may well be flowing freely from the MIX10 convention in Las Vegas but many North American customers are still keenly awaiting the arrival of HTC's 4.3-inch touchscreen behemoth.

If you're happy signing up to a 2-year contract then you'll just need to find the requisite $199.99 premium, or if you're not willing to commit but still want to get in on the action, $449.99, contract-free.

It may well have taken its sweet time getting to the US market but the HD2 is certainly one of the best Windows Mobile 6.5 options on the market.

Potential purchasers hoping to pick up the HD2 now and upgrade to Windows Phone 7 Series when it's released later in the year should take note – it has been confirmed that it won't be upgradeable to the new OS as it doesn't comply with Microsoft's chassis 2 specifications.
