A Bluetooth 3.0-equipped Samsung handset known as the SHW-M120S has been unearthed online

The Samsung M120S is thought to be the first Android handset to provide a home for the new Bluetooth 3.0 standard, which offers up much faster data transfer rates than previous generations.

Whilst pictures are a little thin on the ground right now, we do know, courtesy of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, that the Samsung M100S' successor will launch with the new Bluetooth 3.0 specification.

It looks like the rest of the spec list is an extract from the 'standard smartphone essentials check list' and includes; a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Accelerometer, and front-facing VGA video-call camera.

The model that passed through the Bluetooth SIG's hands seemed to be packing a T-DMB tuner, indicating that it is bound for South Korea, but we think that there will be a tuner-less version headed to other markets.

The report also suggests that the SHW-M120S will drop the screen size of the previous iteration to to 3.3-inches.

With the current proliferation of large-screened handsets we're surprised to see Samsung actually reducing the screen size mid-series, unless of course it is a case of swapping quantity for quality.

In which case, we'd be very happy with a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display. We can hope, right?
