Mozilla has announced a mini version of its Firefox browser for Maemo devices.
The "Fennec" edition of Mozilla Firefox is a sleek new browser for the Maemo 1.0 OS, which will be featured on the Nokia N900.
With a bundle of features that make it ideal for use on a mobile platform, this browser is set to make waves.
This mini version of Firefox will come fully loaded with a host of great features. A new Awesome Bar has been added that allows you to type less into the URL bar by keeping track of your frequented sites and learning as you browse.
More features like spell checker, one touch bookmarking, and a quick zoom improve the user interface and make the browser more enjoyable to use.
There are even thumbnails of each open tab that allow you to keep track of what you are browsing currently, allowing you to move efficiently from one tab to the next.
So with a fully functional Firefox available for the Maemo 1.0 OS, Mozilla is poised to make a major move in the mobile browser market.
Owners of Nokia N810s and N900s can now download this Firefox by going to Firefox.com/m. For more details about this next generation mobile browser, check out the release page.
