The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 rumour mill has been running on overdrive once again, this time concerning network exclusivity.

The Link has said that the Android-based X10 will launch exclusively on Orange in March, but Unwired View says that O2 has just purchased a web page space to sell accessories for the Xperia.

The Xperia X10 runs on Android and features an 8-megapixel camera, with a 4-inch touch screen that boasts a resolution of 480X854 pixels.

This phone represents the next step in the furiously fast-paced race for brainier smartphones.

The X10 will include all the smartphone standards including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Google apps aplenty.

This phone will offer a new UI too, arriving in the form of Timescape and Mediascape.

The programs manage different aspects of your life. With Timescape you can browse through all of your communications with a given person from all the various mediums (Texts, Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc.) in a single place.

Mediascape does something similar but with your videos, music, and photos of all your friends and favourite artists.

They are one stop shops for whole areas of your life. With a beefy 1GHz Snapdragon processor, the Xperia can bench press with the best of them, so it’s right at home riding this next wave of smartphones coming from the other side of the world.

The price of this phone has yet to be determined, but mobilchoiceuk.com reports that market analysts predict that it could be free with a £40 a month O2 plan.
