New Sony Ericsson MediaScape UI vid leaks

A new video showing off the Sony Ericsson custom UI codenamed MediaScape has found its way online

Published on Nov 3, 2009

Footage of the new in-house Sony Ericsson Android skin known as MediaScape has been leaked, revealing a slick-looking interface for Sony Ericsson's upcoming Android launches.

The focus of the makeover seems to be in integrating and bolstering otherwise lacking stock-Android media playback options, and from what we can see in the video below, there's plenty of eye-candy on offer. The UI also seems to make some nice tweaks to the photo gallery too, we only hope it scrolls as smoothly on real hardware.

The video was posted on YouTube and clearly displays a watermark all the way through that states, “This demo is conceptual and for internal use only. Do not distribute.”

Given that it's self confessedly conceptual, we're not sure how far it's going to differ from the final release version that should find its way onto future handsets, as well as the X10 that's been launched today.

If you're thinking about going down the Sony Ericsson Android route, you'll definitely want to check out the video below; and if you're not, well, watch the clip and decide for yourself, you might well change your mind.
