Tag Heuer Meridiist Lamborghini launched

Luxury mobile manufacturer Tag Heuer has introduced the Automobili Lamborghini as the latest luxury twist to its Meridiist series

Tag Heuer has joined forces with Lamborghini, to create the Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini; a special edition phone limited to 1963 pieces.
As with oh-so-many “luxury” handsets, the luxury here seems to be in the materials used, rather than the spec list offered. Finished in brushed aluminium, the Lamborghini model will feature the Meridiist's now well known dual-screen arrangement, with the top display functioning as a clock , caller display and stopwatch.
In total the two screens add up to 60.5 carats of sapphire crystal glass, and other lavish materials include the option of rubber, calfskin leather and alligator backplates.
On the tech-side, there's a 2-megapixel camera onboard, and whilst there's no flash, there is a “mechanical, automatic preview-triggering sliding camera shutter.”
Storage is limited to 2GB, but we're guessing that even though the Lamborghini can handle music playback, not too many people will be shelling out this amount of cash to carry around their entire music collection.
Quad-band GSM/GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity round-off the most interesting parts of the spec list.
Naturally the best part about the handset for us, and probably potential purchasers, is the Lamborghini logo plastered front-and-centre of the keypad.
But with the run limited to 1963 and the branding of one of the world's finest supercars, we've got a feeling that the charging bull logo will command quite a price indeed.
