Details of a French launch date for the upcoming Acer Liquid have leaked online

Following the official announcement of the Android-powered Acer Liquid, we've now come across reports suggesting that the device will launch in selected territories from December.
The details come directly from GPSAndCo.com and suggest that France will be getting the Liquid just in time for Christmas this December.
Specs for the handset look pretty tasty, with Android Donut 1.6, a capacitive 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, HSPA and Wi-Fi all onboard. Indeed, one of the only oversights may be the lack of flash on the 5-megapixel autofocus camera.
The report also confirms that the Liquid will arrive packing the lesser Qualcomm processor, clocked at 768Mhz, rather than the 1MHz of the Snapdragon featured in the HTC HD2 and Toshiba TG01. Even so, the speed difference is said to be negligible, with the handset reportedly feeling “very swift”.
Naturally the plethora of Google's products will be present; as will Acer's media portal based on Spinlets, soon to provide access to music, videos and movies from some of the major players, including Sony BMG.
Clearly a well-specced phone, the Liquid wants to be taken seriously in the Android marketplace. If its rumoured SIM-free price-tag of just €349 is accurate, the Liquid should be well placed to do exactly that.
