The Windows Mobile 6.5 toting Acer F1 neoTouch is now available to buy online
Published on Oct 7, 2009
Acer's long-awaited neoTouch F1 handset is now available to purchase from one UK-based internet retailer.
The order page popped up earlier and is currently showing more than 100 SIM-free units in stock and ready for dispatch, although we have no details of which operators will be officially stocking the device.
Acer's neoTouch F1 is one of the first handsets to come with the new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS pre-installed out of the box and its release today comes unannounced but not as a complete surprise, with the official launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 yesterday.
As well as the upgraded OS, the Acer F1 also features:
- 3.8-inch (480x800 pixels) resistive touchscreen display
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus
- HSDPA/HSUPA (7.2Mbps/5.6Mbps)
- Wi-Fi
- A-GPS
- 850Mhz Qualcomm processor
- Bluetooth
- VGA video recording at 30fps
- 256MB internal memory, expandable through microSD card
The cost of Acer's latest touchscreen offering is a not too extravagant £349.99 including VAT; as an added incentive, if you buy one before the 31st October then you'll get £20 worth of vouchers to spend at your choosing.
