The HTC Tattoo will be launching on Vodafone in October according to the official website.
The Tattoo will come well specced to compete with its Android competitors, but it is still expected to come with a relatively budget friendly price-tag for the SIM-free enthusiast. It will likely be free on qualifying contracts of 18/24 months.
Notable specs include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixel snapper, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
It also features Bluetooth V2.1 and supports the use of microSD cards to bolster the 512MB of internal memory.
Perhaps more interestingly for a relatively affordable device, there's also the new HTC Sense UI which provides one-stop management of all your calls, emails, texts, status updates and photos from a centralised location.
The usual package of Google software such as Maps, Mail and Chat will come preloaded on the device, and more apps are downloadable from the Android marketplace.
The HTC Tattoo gets its name from its personalisable nature, apps, content and covers are customisable to your liking, with alternative shells sure to be on offer just after launch.
