The Samsung app store will be opening its virtual doors to Omnia and i8910 HD owners in the UK, France and Italy on the 14th September.
According to the official Samsung announcement, support for other handsets is in the works and should soon include the Omnia 2 i8000 and OmniaLITE.
Apps will include both free and paid-for and should number around 300 on launch day, with more expected to follow soon after.
The notion of an app store is nothing new to us, with every major OS vendors and most networks seemingly having their own version on the way. What we like about the Samsung version is support for phone billing, meaning that it isn't compulsory to sign up as a member of the app store to download new software.
If you are an Omnia or Omnia i8910 HD owner all you need to do in time for the big day is install the client from Samsungapps.com, or click the on-screen application download button on your handset.
