An official video showing the Nokia 5230 in action has been released online
Published on Aug 27, 2009
The Nokia 5230 has been previewed on video touting the easy to access Ovi Store integration, amongst other features.
The 5230 was officially launched a few days ago and is said to be aimed at those with “an active life.”
The video was posted on YouTube by Nokia Conversations, and highlights the colourful nature of the 5230. The front of the handset is available in black or white but for the rear panel it offers the choice of red, pink, blue, yellow, silver or dark silver.
The handset looks to be a budget touchscreen, and at just £130 SIM-free, it certainly seems well featured - coming with a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, A-GPS, and high speed internet with HSDPA connectivity.
The internal memory is just 70MB, but the 5230 will support microSD cards up to 16GB. Also present is the Ovi suite, which includes access to the app store, music store and mapping software.
The 5230 is also available as part of Nokia's Comes With Music service for £220 SIM-free, we'll bring you precise release details as soon as we can.
The handset seems to us to represent pretty good value for money, spec-wise at least, even if it does look a little on the chunky side. For a closer look check out the preview video below.
