O2 offers Mobile Broadband high-speed deal for laptop users
For £20 per month, users will be entitled to 3GB of inclusive data usage every month via O2's mobile network plus unlimited usage of The Cloud's Wi-Fi hotspot network
O2 has launched a high-speed 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi Mobile Broadband service for laptops, with a free USB modem, for 20 pounds per month
O2 is offering its customers a high-speed mobile internet service for laptops, with a 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi-enabled USB modem that promises plug and play connectivity.
The O2 Mobile Broadband service provides mobile data connection speeds of up to 1.8Mbps (increasing to 3.2Mbps in June, and up to 7.2 Mbps later in the year), plus free access to over 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots from The Cloud.
For £20 per month, users will be entitled to 3GB of inclusive data usage every month via O2's mobile network plus unlimited usage of The Cloud's Wi-Fi hotspot network. Existing pay monthly customers can choose to sign up for an 18-month deal, under which the USB modem is free, or commit to a rolling one-month contract and pay £119.99 for the USB modem.
In addition to pay monthly mobile customers, the Mobile Broadband service is also available to O2 Home Broadband customers and O2 Pay & Go users who top up £30 or more a month. There is an additional cost if users quit their O2 mobile or home broadband deal during the minimum term they've signed up for - an extra £10 a month - while additional data usage above the 3GB allowance is charged at 20p per MB.
