The Philips V900 runs on the same OMS operating system as the more mediocre Dell Mini 3i

Images of a handset known as the Philips V900 have surfaced ahead of its anticipated Chinese launch.
The V900 is a touchscreen handset from Philips and, like Dell's recently revealed Mini3i, the V900 will run on the Open Mobile System (OMS), which in turn is based on Google's Android OS.
The V900 comes slightly better equipped than Dell's Mini, and amongst the feature list you'll find a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, high speed wireless internet access, Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The new shots surfaced over at Mobile.163.com, and it doesn't take a genius to spot that the V900's UI bears more than a passing resemblance to the familiar iPhone experience. Whether it can measure up in functionality or usability remains to be seen.
The handset will arrive in China through the same channels as the Dell too; namely, China Mobile. There's no word on availability or pricing - or any suggestion that we will see the Philips V900 outside of this region, but if it counts for anything, we'd certainly like to.
