Blockbuster movie service coming to Motorola

Blockbuster has announced that it will be working with Motorola to bring a streaming mobile movie service to its customers

Motorola customers will soon be able to stream Blockbuster movies on their handsets as the movie rental giant expands into the mobile market.
For an official announcement few details were given, and specifics such as the where, when and how much are reportedly still being pinned down.
The scant details surfaced over at Yahoo!Tech, and Kevin Lewis, Blockbuster's SVP of Digital Entertainment, confirmed that movie titles will be available on an individual basis, along with the possibility of renting popular television series too.
A similar service known as VCAST is already available to Verizon subscribers in the US – although that service operates on a monthly subscription basis rather than with individually priced downloads.
The Blockbuster service is also rumoured to include the ability to download the movie so that the dreaded “no network” message doesn't interrupt your viewing pleasure.
Will it be enough to secure Blockbuster's successful entry into the mobile movies-on-demand business? We think we're going to just wait and see how attractive the pricing looks before we call this one.
