Nokia's next XpressMusic handset, the 5530, is now available to buy SIM-free six weeks before its general release.
The Carphone Warehouse will have sole exclusivity over the device until September on Vodafone.
The 5530 is considered the smaller brother of the 5800 XpressMusic with the same touchscreen form factor, albeit with a 2.9-inch display in place of the 5800's larger offering.
In fact, spec-wise the 5530 pretty much matches the 5800, with a 3.2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi.
As an XpressMusic-branded device, the 5530 includes stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone socket.
Being a mid-range device, omissions have clearly been made to keep the cost down and the victims this time around are GPS and HSDPA connectivity – two very attractive features in a handset.
Carphone Warehouse will also be offering the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic from free on £25 (and up) contracts, as well as for £129.95 for a SIM-free model.
