Apple iPhone price slashed by 100 pounds
The price of the 8GB iPhone will drop to £169 on all iPhone tariffs from 16 April
O2 has cut the price of the 8GB Apple iPhone by 100 pounds to just 169 pounds on all iPhone tariffs, fueling speculation about a June 3G iPhone launch
O2 is slashing £100 off the price of the 8GB Apple iPhone, fueling speculation that a 3G iPhone will be launched in June.
O2 confirmed that the price of the 8GB iPhone will drop to £169 on all iPhone tariffs from tomorrow, 16 April, in an offer that will run until 1 June 2008. The price of the 16GB iPhone will not be affected however, remaining at £329.
The O2 move comes amid growing speculation that Apple is lining up its much-awaited 3G iPhone launch for June. The iPhone price cut by O2 could be a move to run down stocks ahead of a new product launch, with the latest iPhone Web rumour-frenzy suggesting the iPhone could be unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco in June.
