The BL42 is a stylish and very shiny little black phone with a slide-out keypad and 5-megapixel camera

We’ve already covered LG’s BL40 Chocolate successor, but there’s another Black Label Series phone on the horizon, the BL42.
Compared to the BL40, the BL42 is more conventional looking, boasting a familiar 240x320 pixel screen and a slide-out keypad. It also has a 5-megapixel camera, like its new Black Label Series buddy.
Aside from the slide-out keypad, there’s also touch sensitive controls on the sleek black front of the phone. Looking a lot more like the original LG Chocolate, we expect the BL42 will be a lower-priced alternative to the more dynamic touchscreen BL40.
Like the BL40, we don’t know when the BL42 is due for release, but with its mainstream feature set and inoffensively stylish design, we can’t see any reason why the BL42 won’t get a wide release.
