Colorado-based WildCharge has announced the first wireless charger compatible with the iPhone 3G and 3G S.

No sooner has the new iPhone hit the shelves, then along comes WildCharge to relieve you of one more wire from your life.

The charger is similar to the Palm Touchstone device that recently launched, and simply requires you to slip the WildCharge skin on the handset and plug the base pad in. Then, hey presto, wireless charging.

The system works on iPod Touch models too, and is available to order today for that device, although iPhone owners will have to wait until July to get their hands on the skins, priced at $34.99.

Naturally, it's all very well having a “protective and durable case” but what you really need is the WildCharge base as well, and to get both will set you back $79.99.

Skins are also available today for the Blackberry Curve and Bold, whilst a universal adaptor increases compatibility to more than 150 handsets.
