Firefly is launching a handset aimed at pre-school children called the glowPhone.
The device features a simple five button operation scheme and allows for storage of up to 50 numbers.
It's due for launch here before the year is out, but it is already available in Ireland for £85 according to the company's press release.
The device is simplistic to the max and features a 1.5-inch colour screen, games and a torch.
Parents retain full PIN-protected control over incoming and outgoing calls, which provides some peace of mind, but we still can't help but wonder if it is really necessary to introduce children as young as four into the world of mobiles, even if it is under the guise of safety.
If you'd like to find out more about the glowPhone then check out FireflyMobile.com, although £85 does seem a little on the steep side.
