The upcoming iPhone 3.0 has been dubbed the 3G S, according to an online blog.
John Gruber of Daring Fireball made the claim, alongside assertions that the new version will likely feature double the current version’s RAM and internal storage, plus a significantly faster processor.
The iPhone 3.0 is also rumoured to offer 15-20% more battery life than the current iPhone 3G. With a pretty short battery life under intensive use at the moment, this probably won’t equate to an earth-shattering difference, but we’ll take what we can get.
It’s currently unclear exactly what the ‘S’ of the codename may stand for, but we’ll keep you informed with any new updates.
