LG confirms 12-megapixel device

LG has revealed that it will be releasing a 12-megapixel handset and that it should arrive before Christmas

LG has confirmed that it will be launching a 12-megapixel camera phone.

The confirmation comes from MobileChoice.com who revealed that the handset should be with us within the next six months, although no specific date was given.

LG isn't the first manufacturer to confirm such a generously-sized camera, with the likes of Samsung and Sony Ericsson also releasing similar devices.

However, LG won't be the first to market either. Nor are they going to be first to market it would seem. The Sony Ericsson 12-megapixel Idou is rumoured to be vying for release in October of this year.
