Garmin's G60 Nüvifone SatNav mobile has been delayed yet again

Garmin has revealed that the G60 Nüvifone has suffered another delay and will miss our predicted release date of mid-June.
The handset was once set to be one of the only devices on the market with true turn-by-turn navigation and fully featured mapping software but a series of setbacks sees the Nüvifone G60 entering in far more hostile market conditions.
“Smartphones are really complicated devices and bringing one to market that’s built totally from the ground up on a custom Linux platform is not an easy task. We certainly haven’t performed to our expectations, but we believe we have a very unique device and we still have a lot of interest in the device from carriers”, said Garmin COO Cliff Pemble.
We're left wondering whether or not the G60 will ever make it to market now, and if it does, will it be a case of too little too late? GPS is no longer the sole reserve of the smartphone market and every platform now has it's own mapping software as well as the ubiquitous Google Maps.
The next tentative release date has been set for the “second half of 2009”, according to HotHardware.com, we're not sure if the cross-collaborative ASUS/Garmin handset, the M20's, release date has been compromised.
