Motorola has revealed the W7 Active Edition.
We reported on leaked shots of the W7 a little while back and were largely unimpressed by what we could see, thankfully, it seems Motorola traded in the 3-tone colour scheme for a more befitting black/silver combo.
The Motorola W7 Active Edition comes with a 2-megapixel snapper and forward-facing VGA video call camera as well as Personal Trainer software, an accelerometer and external memory support for up to 8GB. Contrary to our expectations the device will come with 3G connectivity options too.
With a reasonably middle of the road spec sheet the handset's main draw are the gesture and shake controls that can silence an incoming call, snooze an alarm, and even control music playback. There's also a nifty shake shortcut that will take you directly to your specified favourite application.
The Motorola W7 is due to launch in the next month or so in Asia and Latin America, there's no news of availability outside these regions.
