Spotify to go mobile

Maker of music streaming service Spotify is rumoured to be working on a multi-platform mobile version of its software

London-based music service Spotify is reportedly working on a music streaming service designed for mobiles, as well as an iPhone app.

The report in Revolution Magazine apparently confirms the company's commitment to providing its service to a wide range of mobile users, including the ubiquitous iPhone app that is yet to clear Apple's stringent approval process.

Recent claims that Spotify will be providing a Napster-style £9.99 music download service are “100% untrue”, according to a spokesperson talking to Pocket-Lint.com. The company currently runs ads to fund the service, although a Premium Pass will get you uninterrupted ad-free listening.
