Second webOS Palm handset leaked

Ben Woods

Details about an upcoming Palm handset known as the Eos are currently making their way through the online rumour-mill

Published on May 5, 2009

The Palm Eos has been outed online as the second webOS touting Palm handset that will make it to market despite the fact that the first handset, the Pre, is yet to launch.

The report on Pocket-Lint.com has revealed that the Eos will launch with:

  • 2-megapixel camera
  • Qwerty keyboard
  • A-GPS
  • 4GB internal storage, with microSD expansion
  • Bluetooth

There's also a rumour that instead of the Pre-bound Sprint network getting the Eos it will instead be heading for AT&T which in turn causes us to wonder just which network the device might show up on once it reaches our shores.

We're going to have to play the waiting game with this one and see what transpires but the launch of a second webOS device could be just what the platform needs to kick-start its launch in an increasingly tough, operating system savvy, marketplace.
